General Rules
1. No profanity or NSFW content.
2. No harassment, bullying, or derogatory language.
Disagreements are okay, disrespect is not.
3. No spam.
This includes inappropriate, promotional, and excessive messages, both private and public.
4. Act maturely.
5. Our staff reserves the right to address behaviors not covered in the rules as they see fit.
Minecraft Server Rules
1. Claims mean ownership.
All items, builds, resources, and entities are considered the property of the player who owns the chunk they are in. Vehicles (trains, ships, aircraft, etc.) and pets (horses, dogs, cats, etc.) belong to their original owner even when outside of the owner’s claim.
2. No theft or griefing.
Any violation of this rule will result in an immediate ban.
3. Voluntary PvP only.
Players can opt in or opt out of PvP using the /pvpFlag command. Players who are opted out will not be included in any PvP combat unless they choose to opt in.
4. Be considerate of others.
We have finite space, resources, and processing power on the server. Please avoid actions which will negatively affect other players.
5. Players who do not log in to the server for 60 days or longer will be marked as inactive.
This includes having any claims automatically revoked and being removed from the whitelist. Inactive players will need to re-apply in order to be whitelisted again.
6. Follow our building standards.
These are listed in the section below. Our staff reserves the right to remove or disable any builds which violate these standards.
7. The Warzone is for anarchy!
This region will be clearly marked on the in-game map and named “WARZONE”. Within the Warzone, claims do not apply. Theft, griefing, and PvP are permitted (and encouraged!) in this region.
8. Streaming and recording are allowed.
We permit content creation including our server, modpack, and any world downloads, but please be courteous to other players when doing so. If you enjoy Create: Genesis and would like to help support us, please consider adding a link to our website or Discord in your content.
Server Building Rules
1. All Create contraptions and machines must have an OFF switch.
2. All train tracks connected to the main lines must have the following features (reference image below):
- Wide-gauge tracks
- At least 8 blocks’ vertical clearance (including the tracks)
- At least 7 blocks’ horizontal clearance per track
- Station platforms for trains 5 blocks wide
- Station platforms 2 blocks high
- Station platforms at least 25 blocks long
- Separate tracks for each direction, with trains driving on the right-side track

3. No collision-based block miners.
These include any Create contraption that breaks blocks by disassembling a contraption occupying those blocks’ space. These contraptions cause extreme server lag and will be deleted by moderators. (Contraptions using components — drills, mechanical saws, harvesters, etc. — to break blocks are fine.)
4. Chunk loaders are strongly discouraged.
While not completely prohibited, chunk loaders can cause significant performance issues depending on what contraptions or entities they are loading. We strongly advise avoiding chunk loaders when possible, or placing them away from other builds to reduce the impact to server performance. Our staff reserves the right to remove chunk loaders as needed.
Everyone on Genesis is responsible for knowing and obeying these rules. If you have any questions, please ask a moderator. If you need to report a rule violation, you can click the “Report” button in the Discord #support channel. All reports will be kept anonymous.
